The Great Lakes Science Center is one of the nation's leading science and technology centers, featuring the NASA Glenn Visitor Center, hundreds of hands-on exhibits, themed traveling exhibitions, daily demonstrations, the awe-inspiring OMNIMAX Theater and the Steamship William G. Mather. The Science Center is open daily 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with discounted parking available for guests in the attached 500-car garage. The Great Lakes Science Center is generously funded by the citizens of Cuyahoga County through Cuyahoga Arts and Culture.

The Elements Cafe on the lower level features soups, salads and sandwiches, weekly specials and Pizza Hut personal pan pizzas.

The Great Lakes Science Center is located at 601 Erieside Avenue, at the foot of East 9th Street and the Shoreway (St. Rt. 2) between the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Browns Stadium. Look for the OMNIMAX dome.



From Airport

Take I-71 North to East 9th Street exit. North on East 9th Street. Turn left onto Erieside Ave.



From Akron

Take I-77 North to East 9th Street exit and stay to your right. Follow signs to East 9th Street. Take East 9th Street North. Turn left on Erieside Ave.

Just for those 7 and under, Polymer Funhouse lets young kids stretch, shake, build, pull and play with polymers of all types, and features the ever-popular ball pit. Port Polymer, the outdoor play area, is located on the outdoor deck adjacent to the Polymer Funhouse, overlooking North Coast Harbor. Port Polymer is open seasonally as the weather permits.
